accepting adjustment

Well here I am with nothing better to do than to write another journal entry. I’m stuck at home yet again with a disfunctional car. I swear that thing is jinxed. Or maybe it’s just me that’s jinxed, ‘cause everything seems to be going wrong about now. Well, ok, not entirely everything, but I think it’s worse to know that a lot more can still go wrong than to know it’s already as bad as it can get.

Mama always tells papa that he’s being “adjusted” for something he did wrong whenever the powers that be give him a hard time. Papa is always getting adjusted. I guess some people would blame it on bad Karma. I’m starting to wonder if maybe Karma isn’t genetic cause I seem to be following Papa’s path and catching up rather quickly.

Papa has looked at my car 3 times since I’ve had trouble starting it. Each time he discovers the problem and provides a solution. However, my car always starts for him and his solutions always work when he is the one to implement them. First he tells me that it’s just too cold and my car will start eventually if I try enough and give it a little extra gas to start with. However, he never actually had to do this himself when starting my car. Ok, so that solves my problem for a few days. The next time I have a problem, it ain’t cause the thing won’t start. Oh no. It started up real nice yesterday, but idling at 400rpm isnt exactly encouraging. Papa told me before that the throttle gets stuck sometimes and i just need to pull on the gas pedal to unstick it. yeah, right. . .that don’t work for me. So I got a ride yesterday from my friend, Nancy, and had to stay two extra hours to make up for being late. Papa looked at my car again last night, said I actually have to open the hood and loosen the thing if it gets stuck again. He fixed it and it worked fine last night. This morning I’m out there at 5:20am to make sure I have plenty of time to get my car started. I was supposed to be to work at 6. I spent an hour trying to start it until both myself and the car gave up trying. It hardly even sounds alive anymore when I try to start it. The entire time I’m fighting with my car I’m also repeatedly calling my parents and walmart until at least one of them would answer. Wal mart finally picked up the phone at 6:20 and I told them I’d be in soon as my parents pick up their phone. I’m still waiting on my parents and I eventually left a message hoping they might actually check their messages after hearing the phone ring so many times this morning.

So what do you wanna bet that my car will work just fine next time Papa comes to look at it eh?

Ofcourse your car will start up and run just fine for Papa. History doesn’t change it just repeats itself , so be assured if you want your car to start up every morning and get you to work you should consider living under the same roof as Papa. That way he can start it for you each morning. Either that or get a different car, but remember history doesn’t change it just repeats itself.
