all about bob
Ok, so about that act I put on about wanting to be a writer and all. . . yeah um, it’s just an act, ‘cause for an aspiring writer, I sure don’t seem to write too much, do I? yeah, so um, about that too, um. . . it’s not my fault? My closet goblin stole my inspiration, the toaster ate my keyboard, I was transported to another dimension and I just got back today (they dont have computers in that other dimension), do any of these excuses work? no? right, hmm, but, well, it was worth a try wasn’t it? Oh! oh! I know what the problem is, Bob got stuck with a stack of “um” paperwork and “um” is the only inspiration I’ve had recently. That and a few sprinklings of “Dude”. . . althoguh “dude” is very inspiring. . . going off tangent, I know I know. Um, but dude, did I have a tangent in the first place to be straying from? Bob? who’s Bob you say? Well golly, everyone knows Bob! Bob is a ubiquitous sort of character who exists in everyone’s head. Everyone’s except Eric’s that is. Eric fired his Bob. Bob may be a little spacy at times, but I dont think I could function everyday without my Bob. Bob is that little fellow who retrieves information from your head when you request it. Sometimes you think you “forgot” something because Bob has a very far distance to travel in your head to get to some of the archives. And sometimes Bob gets a bit distracted along the way. Kind of like when your sorting through a stack of papers and the idea was just to sort and file but you stop every few pages to read something of interest. Bob is kind of like that too. But he’s very reliable, really he is. He’s just misunderstood. My brother told me sometimes people get frustrated with their Bob for taking too long to retrieve the requested information, so they call Bob back and ask the question again, and again, and again. . .and yep, even a few more agains too. Bob can’t hear you very well when he’s burried in the depths of your head so he comes running to attention as soon as he hears the faintest sound of your beckoning. He has to come all the way back to his starting point only to find out you’re asking the same thing again, so he starts on his way once more and gets called back a few more times. Of course it takes him so long when you keep calling him back! Ask your question and have a little patience for Pete’s sake! Poor poor Bob. I don’t know where my Bob got the idea that he needed to be carting around a stack of “ums” twice as tall as him for the past few days. I guess he forgot where they came from or something. Maybe he was just cleaning out the registry of “ums” that I have scattered all about and placing them in a single location so that they may be accessed and used only when needed for dramatic effect instead of interfering with other stored information. My Bob is so efficient isn’t he?
