Making Progress

I contemplated writing an entry yesterday and I contemplated writing one the day before that too. Everyone should be proud of me that I only needed two days of contemplation before actually writing another entry. Um, and we won’t talk about those other five days. . .they may be assumed as non-contemplative days, ok?

Since I last posted, I met with the florist and found out flowers might be a better investment than gold or silver if they didn’t have a habit of wilting. But it’s all groovy. We got flowers for everwhere everything and everyone! Which is quite impressive, I think, considering the ceremony already takes place amongst the mountains, wildlife, and natural floral arrangements of Montana. The owners of the wedding site (Springhill Pavilion) also put up a few minor floral arrangements around the buildings and gazebo. But I gone and made sure there’ll be no want for flowers.

My dress arrived (dude, and now my coffee’s gettin’ cold!) um, a few days ago, maybe more. . .but, the point is, it arrived. And it fits! And I think it is even more beautiful than it looked in the picture. Even the ladies I took it too for hemming agreed that it is the most beautiful wedding dress they’ve seen in a long time. I just hope it still looks as beautiful on my wedding day.

As for my veil, it had better make me look a thousand times prettier. I can’t believe they can get away with selling a transparent piece of fabric for that much!

. . . I don’t like luke warm coffee Sam I Am, I don’t like it in my tummy, and I don’t like it on the floor, I don’t like luke warm coffee Sam I AM. . .

I still have to get stuff out of my apartment, but I’m making progress. I even have most of my suitcase packed as well as all my toiletries in twist-top-only travel containers and zip lock bags (just in case). My parents took the dresser. When Papa gets back from his business trip this weekend, he is supposed to get my bed and nightstand. I’m also going to have to ask him to temporarily store my telescope tube and tripod until I can arrange shipment to Florida for them. Ed from WalMart was supposed to call me to arrange a time to pick up my computer desk, but he hasn’t called yet. I’ll need to stop by WalMart again to see if he is still going to take it or if I should give it to someone else. In the mean time, my computer is on the kitchen floor next to the monitor that is on my folding chair. My keyboard is in my lap and my mouse is sort of sitting on a ups express envelope teetering between me and the edge of my mushroom chair. I made this arrangement so as to ensure easy access to the desk if and when someone wants to get it. Merry Maids are coming to examine my apartment tomorrow morning and I’m going to have them clean it on the 6th. I already made an apointment with the carpet cleaners for the 3rd. I also made sure someone will be able to give a final inspection of the apartment on the 7th since the on-site manager is having an eye surgery somewhere about that time. Oh yeah, I also decided NOT to attempt shipping my Otogi Banashi to Florida. I asked Linda Nix if she could take my fish because she has lots of experience with Betta fish and fish in general for that matter. I’m really too paranoid to attempt shipping my fish and also paranoid that Eric’s cat might find a way to get at him while we are on our honeymoon.

Now it is 8:59 and Eric is supposed to get up from his nap now so he can call me. And I really really need to get some fresh coffee.
